Our yaks are IYAK certified Tibetan yaks! We have four fully domesticated females.

Yaks are very sociable with rich personalities. Our yaks love to run and play, and they jump with excitement at the sound of a treat bag! They spend their days grazing and resting in our pastures.

Unlike most cow breeds, yaks produce long, downy hair fiber that can be gently harvested by combing in the spring in summer. This fiber can be used for clothing, rope,  rugs and blankets, and even as soundproofing material. Soft and durable, yak fiber can be compared to cashmere, angora, or qiviut.

Hailing from Tibet, our yaks thrive in the mild Southern Oregon climate. They love the cold, and in winter months can be seen frolicking through the snow!
